NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Scouts must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the meeting hall with your Scout for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.
NOTICE : Change in meeting time as of Sep 2013 our regular meeting time will be Tuesday Evening.
Sep 01 2013, 1st day of September - Get ready for a new School year and a new Scouting Year. Let's tell all our friends new and old how much fun we had at Cubs & Scouts. Encourage them to join or at least come to a meeting and see what we do.

Sep 27-29 2013, Operation Alert - Provincial ALERT camp for 2nd/3rd year Scouts.
Oct 1 2013, Saws and Hatchets
Oct 6 2013, Open House at Fun Forest Camp 11:30am-2pm. Games and activities, BBQ lunch
Oct 8 2013, Camp preparation with kits and gear.
Oct 12-13 2013, Our first camp (yah!). Make repairs to lean-to shelters and general camp cleanup for winter. Arrive 9am Saturday, depart 10am Sunday. We do not normally charge for camp, but we are charging $10 for a special supper. Except for supper, scouts are responsible for their own meals (as usual for camps).
Oct 15 2013, Discussion of Scout Law / Promise / Motto. Discuss patrol structure/Patrol flags
Oct 22 2013, Investiture Night. Popcorn envelopes due back (even if they are empty!). $10 for Ghost Walk
Oct 24 2013, The Halifax Ghost Walk. Meet at Citadel Hill Clock Tower (across from Metro Centre) 8:15pm
Oct 26 2013, Apple Day. Meet at 9:30am in front of Brown Hall (351 Beaver Bank Road). Pick up 11am
Oct 27 2013, Christmas Tree Farm cleanup. Lot is open 1-5pm so come when you can
Oct 29 2013, No Meeting
Nov 2 2013, Supper at Church of the Good Shepherd (3:30pm-6:30pm).
Nov 5 2013, Camp preparation. Work on Stove and Lantern Permits
Nov 8-9 2013, Camp. Arrive 8am Friday morning. Pick up 5pm Saturday. **Subject to rescheduling for 29/30** The plan for this camp is to complete a ‘pioneering’ project on the Fun Forest Camp property.
Nov 11 2013, Remembrance Day. Parade from Kinsac School at 10am
Nov 12 2013, No meeting
Nov 19 2013, Build Christmas/Holiday themed float to submit for Parade of Lights
Nov 24 2013, Beaver Bank Parade of Lights. Meet at Barrett Lumber Mill to board float. Parade route ends at Beaver Bank Kinsac School followed by a Christmas Tree lighting. Specifics to follow.
