Sep 01 2011, 1st day of September - Get ready for a new School year and a new Scouting Year. Let's tell all our friends new and old how much fun we had at Cubs & Scouts. Encourage them to join or at least come to a meeting and see what we do.

Oct 13 2011, Camp Prep night. New Scouts please bring your gear packed for camp.Everything exept your food. We will help you pack/repack and make any adjustments to your kit that will make our hike much easier. Below is a copy of the survival kit list and winter camp gear. You can adjust the contents as required for fall camping, which we will discuss on Thursday.

Oct 15-16 2011, First camp of the year. Cost is $0.00. We will meet at the Camp Gate on Saturday morning at 8am and will be back at the gate on Sunday for a 3pm pick up. As you will be packing your own food, that will require one breakfast, 2 lunches and one supper meal. Along with all meals any snacks and all drinking water will need to be brought with you.Please try to follow Canada's Guide for Healthy Eating and bring a mix of food groups... "junk food" is not prohibited, but please be reasonable about it. Keep in mind that if you need water to cook with like to make pasta, then you should allow for that in the amount of water you carry with you. A good rule is at least 1l per day for drinking plus cooking.We will have the troop cooking pots and the stove/lantern with us. We will have the stove and open fire for cooking on. At the present the weather looks very promising for next weekend, but we should "Be Prepared" for anything! .

Oct 27 2011, Halloween Night.... Dress up in your Scariest..... Bring a Ghost Story and we'll have spooky campfire night.

Nov 3 2011, We will be meeting at 5:45pm at the Brown Hall with hopes to be leaving at 6pm sharp for our trip to Dalhousie. Return should be by 9:30pm back to the Brown Hall.

Nov 5 2011, Saturday. We have been invited to help serve a turkey supper at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Sat. Nov. 05 from 4-6. We will meet there at 3:45 and pick up will be 6:15 to allow time to help clean up. If you can make it for any or all of this event, your help will be greatly appreciated.

Nov 10 2011, We will be preparing for our second camp and the Rememberance Day service.

Nov 11 2011, Remembrance Day - 10:00AM We will meet in Kinsac School parking lot and parade to the cenotaph in front of the Kinsack Fire Station. Uniform Required.

Nov 11-13 2011, 2 Night Camp, We will meet at the camp gate at 4pm to do a 2 night camp. Pick up will be on Sunday Nov 13th at 3pm. We will hike in for supper Friday night so we will be carrying in 1 breakfast, 2 lunches and 2 suppers. Water and snacks as well....
