Spring 2006 Schedule

NOTICE : "Parent Consent Forms" must be filled out, signed and dated for all events or activities not held at our usual meeting place (Our Pond) Beaver Bank Monarch Drive Elementary School. This is a Scouts Canada requirement. Consent Forms will be supplemented with a "Physical Fitness Certificate". Thank you for your cooperation. Effective Jan 2001 we can now use the new "List Type Consent Form" for Tours & Fundraisers.

NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Beavers must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the Hall with your Beaver for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

April 5th – Cancelled due to HRM Meeting Another night of sheer wacky fun and craziness, as we hold our own Wacky Olympics. Get ready for the fun!

April 12th – Easter Party time, filled with crafts, games and snacking. Parents, we will need goodies please!

April 19th – Scout Tree Blitz!! We will be going out with A Colony obtaining pledges for scout trees. We will be going up and down the streets of Woodbine Trailer Park. Details to follow.

April 25th – TUESDAY – A colony has invited us to race out beaver buggies agains their buggies. We will be meeting at Monarch Drive Elementary School at 6:30pm and pick up time is 7:30pm sharp!! There will be a $2.00 charge, and of course this is for the crest.

April 28th - 29th – 2nd Beaver Bank Group Camp - to be held at Fun Forest Camp , details to follow

May 3rd,6:00 to 7:30 Scout Trees planting. Fun Forest Camp, 1901 Beaver Bank Road.

May 10th – We will be having a guest speaker Anna, who will be bringing her prize birds to visit us. This should prove to be a most interesting time for the Beavers, leaders and the birds. If your child has asthma or any bird allergies, please give this event careful thought.

May 17th – Richardson's Animal Hospital Visit. Located on Cobequid Road just up from perto can . Drop off at 6:30pm and pick up at 7:30pm sharp.

May 24th – Fire station visit. The main fire station, Metropolitan Avenue just off Glendale. Drop off 6:30pm and pick up at 7:30pm sharp.

May 31st – A very special closing event for B colony. We will be holding a Garden Party at the Brown Hall. Our goal is to have the Beavers plant a community garden at the Brown Hall, this will not only add a little beauty to the Brown Hall grounds but, most important of all it will give the Beavers a sense of pride as they take care of it through the seasons. This will be our community outreach project. We would love to have any advice, ideas, free plants , free labour that you could give us! More info to follow

Jul 1 2006, Canada Day Parade (9:00AM) - This will be 2nd Beaver Bank's 7th entry in the Canada Day Parade in Lr. Sackville. (2005 the parade was cancelled by parade mashall due to extremely bad weather) The parade route is from the Sobey's parking lot, 752 Sackville Drive to The Rock Church parking lot, 222 Sackville Drive. I am told that's 2.7km. The parade starts at 9:30AM, all Beavers should be at the Sobey's parking lot no later than 9:00AM. Uniform and Consent form required. Tender pads should have their Cub Uniform. Beavers may be picked up at the Rock Church parking lot. parents are welcome.

As always uniforms to be worn unless otherwise stated, consent forms filled out.
Registration will take place in September as usual, you will be given a reminder call.
We have had a wonderful fun time Beavering with your Beavers, your support has been greatly appreciated in many ways.
