Fall 2006 Schedule

NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Beavers must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the Hall with your Beaver for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

September 27th - B Colony beavers will commence, this will be a welcome night held outside weather permitting, with games and crafts for new and returning Beavers. We will be asking you to save pennies for Christmas Daddies, as part of our sharing promise.

October 4th - We will be making Thanksgiving crafts and having a fun time.

October 11th – Musical fun night! One of our talented young Scouts will be bringing her drums, and all the Beavers will have a super time trying out their musical talent, on either home made instruments or whatever they have available at home. Bring earplugs!!

October 18th – Bring a pal night (parents of the pal must come to the hall and sign a hold harmless scout form) A pal can come to Beavers for 2 free nights before signing up. Our own great Keeo Robert and Keeo Chantal will be presenting a hilarious puppet show for everyone.

October 25th – Investiture night for new kits joining Beavers and the presentation of new colors for returning Beavers. Colours are awarded for age, eg. 5 years of age – brown tail, 6 years – blue tail, 7 years – white tail, and prior to swim up to the Cub pack white tails with a magic light (silver streak down center of tail) Parents please note we supply the neckers (scarves) woggles and tails for your Beavers.

WE INVITE ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS TO ATEND THIS NIGHT AS YOU HAVE AN IMPORTANT PART TO PLAY IN YOUR CHILD’S BEAVER PROGRAM. THE LEADERS WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THIS EVENING AN EXTRA SPECIAL NIGHT, SO REFRESHEMENTS WILL BE APPRECIATED. DUE TO ALLERGIES THIS WILL BE NUT FREE.

October 27th –28th – FRIDAY NIGHT TO SATURDAY AFTERNOON, our hoot and howler Halloween overnight INDOOR camp, will be help at HT Barrett Fun Forest Camp, Details to follow.

October 29th - Sunday – Area Beaveree fun time. Details to follow.

November 1st – Wacky Olympics. Come join us in doing some fun games the wacky way.

November 8th – Remembrance Day preparation, crafts.

November 10th - Monarch Drive Elementary will have a Rembrance Service at 9:30, please wear your uniform to school.

November 11th – Saturday – Remembrance Day parade.
Remembrance Day - 10:00AM We will meet in Kinsack School parking lot and parade along with other Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and members of the Guides to the cenotaph in front of the Kinsac Fire Station. Uniform Required.

November 15th – Reptile night with Nancy, a very knowledgeable exotic pet owner. Nancy will bring her small pets for the Beavers to look at, she will also discuss their habitats and habits. If there is time we will do a great snake craft.

November 21st – Tuesday night – Area Beaver movie night. Details to follow.

November 22nd – No Meeting

November 29th – Our third annual Christmas visit to Scotia Nursing home. Details to follow.

December 9th – Due to the Christmas concerts we will be holding our Christmas closing party with fun and games on this Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm. Details to follow.

Dec 17 2006, 6PM Christmas Parade of lights. This is an oppertunity to participate or go out and watch. Details to follow.
